Hands-on: Trials Rising Crash & Sunburn DLC

We got our hands on the downloadable content for Trials Rising which is called Crash & Sunburn. This DLC pack might be worth it to pick up the game again and start playing. If you can’t get enough of Trials and you love putting your name on the leaderboard, this DLC can’t be missed. Roar your engines!

“Trials” is your go-to motorcycle game to waste some time and have fun while doing it. The concept is very simple, pick a motorcycle and try to cross the finish line as fast as you can but also in style. The game’s become very popular due to the use of the physics system which makes up for some funny moments. When you go from A to B, a timer starts running. It’s up to you to finish the tracks as fast as you can to put yourself on the leaderboard. During the game, you’ll get checkpoints that’ll respawn your motorcycle when a jump or a throttle didn’t go as planned. With each respawn, there will be an addition of 5 seconds to your “still running” timer. If you aren’t pleased with what your achieving, you can also press the Restart button.

The game looks simple but it really isn’t. You definitely have to play a couple of tracks before you can actually control your motorcycle. Before you start a track, you’ll have the option to choose a different motorcycle. All of the motorcycles have different handling, it’s up to the player to fight the right one. Some motorcycles can be unlocked while playing and some motorcycles can’t be used for a specific track. These different aspects can influence on how you’ll be doing on a certain track. It takes skill to get to the end. Each track also has a difficulty level and here’s my advice: start slow and end with a bang.

The new DLC pack will give you a lot more tracks that’ll take you to the favelas or even the top of a volcano. There will also be unique outfits that can be unlocked while playing. A new motorcycle called the “Alpaca” is also been added to the roster. The Alpaca is a motorcycle that will help you overcome almost every mountain with his power-driven front wheel. The game will be released on the 10th of September.
