Indie Corner: World Of Riders

Welcome to our review of World Of Riders, a mobile game ported to Nintendo Switch and it is all about driving motorcycles!

Full motorcycle racing experience with 11 different motorcycle and 12 different stages.
World Of Riders is the most realistic racing game where you can have a full motorcycle racing experience.

Starting with level 1, you can proceed to the higher levels by attending to the competitions and by completing assigned tasks. So you can get credits and buy new motorcycles, or you can use those credits to upgrade power and other specs of existing motorcycle.

There are 12 different stages and 2 race tracks in the game. Among them, there are stages in night mode, in rainy and snowy weather.

There are 11 different motorcycle options categorized by engine power. You can proceed to higher levels in career mode, get credits in time trail mode.

World Of Riders is a horrible experience really. While there may be a need for this style of game on mobile and it probably is far from the worst on mobile, I am not so sure if I can call it so on Nintendo Switch. The game just screams mobile graphics, mobile feeling and quite frankly speaking, it was a horrible racing experience.

Sure, I am known for not being a real racing game lover, but I can recognise a dud when I see it. World Of Riders enforces by default the motion controls much like the majority of mobile games and it just fails to impress me. Every single turn felt like a hassle more than an actual turn.

Graphically, World Of Riders is far from top-notch either, I often felt the game looked like it was made to be played on the Nokia N-gage rather than a modern day console. It looks very static and despite the amount of cars and options, it just comes short on multiple points.

Another place where it falls short, in the ways to update and upgrade everything, you encounter more than just “racing” tracks as you will also be asked to perform close encounters where you need to basically cut off cars or go as close as can be. Obviously, it is a game, but as someone that was once run over by this behavior on the street, I can only dislike this part even more.

In conclusion, my review is short and simple. This game is not worth your time and if not for the few silly crashes I had, it would have scored even lower.
