Monday, this only means E3 is so close we can almost taste it! Time to continue our predictions, what will EA Play bring?
Timmy:
My predictions for EA are going to be super lame. In the past few years, EA rarely really impressed me and I sadly think we are getting more of the same. A new and better FIFA game followed by a new and better Madden and so on. I hope they surprise me because there are quite a few IP in dire need of a new title.
Dragon Age, Star Wars, … Even Anthem is in need of a quality injection and I wonder if Apex Legends can save the day. I feel bad for writing such a dull prediction but I really wonder what curveball EA will be throwing at us, maybe a new IP altogether?
Nick:
EA will capitalize on the new Star Wars films by showcasing their newest Star Wars game: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. I suspect gameplay will be shown this time around.
Theirs works on new Titanfall material. I predict Titanfall 3 but it could easily be just DLC for Titanfall 2.
It might be a curveball but I’ve been longing for a new Need for Speed game. As time goes on, the chances are bigger we’ll find out more about it during their EA play.
Nick de Reiger:
I don’t know what to think of EA anymore. I really liked there older games (Command & Conquer), so I could do a new C&C game. Even a reboot of the franchise, since C&C 4 was just.. a cash-grab. Go back to the times of Red Alert, C&C Generals and push it into the modern era of gaming. But aside from that, we will probably see something about the new Star Wars game that’s in the works. And we probably get a new Sims DLC (or even Sims 5?), mixed in with new information about Titanfall Royal.. uh Apex Legends, since Fortnite is doing crossovers and making money.
Lander:
It’s no public secret that EA has to do things differently in order to win back some of its fans. Lootboxes, easy cash-grabs, and the disappointment of Anthem definitely left its mark. Will they redeem themselves during E3 2019? Well, the potential is certainly there. Of course, we’ll have to handle with the known project first; Star Wars will make a big splash without a doubt, stealing the main spotlight during the show. After that, EA Sports titles will get the attention they deserve and to conclude, EA will share must needed Season 2 details for Apex Legends. But is that really it? I don’t think so.
I think the company will strike back with surprise sequels for Need for Speed and even Plants VS. Zombies. Both franchises are extremely popular and in desperate need of some sequels. The fun doesn’t stop there, I’m also expecting to see more on Sea of Solitude and maybe even another new upcoming promising indie game.
Now if we think even further, EA might showcase long-awaited sequels like Skate 4 or Dragon Age 4. Those aren’t really games we can expect but imagine the true potential EA has to surprise! I know for sure I’m looking forward to what they’ll show us in a couple of days!
