Welcome to our review of Panty Party, a rather interesting new title out now on Nintendo Switch!

“I have to find… the Warrior of Love!”
“The Warrior of Love…?”
“Yes… it is you! The one who loves panties, the Warrior of Love!”

Dash and dodge in high speed battles … with panties!
Panty Party is a fast-paced battle game. Fly as a panty in the street and in-between buildings. Search for the enemy panties and kick their bad!
Panty Party is just about as silly as it sounds. Not joking, it is so silly, I am going to recommend buying it. Not because it is a good game, but because it makes fun of so many things and this is by far the weirdest title I have reviewed in a long time. Aside from the title, there is not a single link to anything even remotely erotic, yet I would suggest keeping it away from children. This title is clearly a parody on the entire H-genre and should be treated as such.
The game itself is mediocre at best. Small levels, small fights, not the best game mechanics I have seen and aside from the novelty appeal, Panty Party has nothing to offer really. You fight as a panty with other panties and in this PvP mode (panty versus panties, pun intended) and it is honestly no fun at all. The novelty of the item wore off pretty quickly and then you are left with just an average game that features panties instead of humanoids.
Another thing that really managed to properly annoy me, the way the audio is handled. There is a part where the heroine speaks much louder than the others and it is so obvious that I was holding the switch up to my ears to follow the story. Sure, I can read the subtitles, but even those had some inconsistencies. The screenshot below should show the typesetting inconsistencies.
During my gameplay, I also encountered a feeling of being bored. Something that should not be happening when playing games. The biggest flaw of this game, in my opinion, is that it brings nothing to the table. Aside from some decent voice acting, this game will probably mostly sell on basis of its name and despite my recommendation to buy it because of that, it will not be something you will end up loving.
In conclusion, Panty Party is a joke game and a joke of a game. I do recommend buying it for exactly those reasons but as a game in itself, its score of 3 out of 10 is well deserved!
