Do you ever have enough RGB? I don’t think so! That’s why Razer now released a chroma version of the Goliathus mousepad. This mousepad doesn’t only feel amazing, it also looks the part. The edge of the mousepad is an RGB lightstrip. This strip is controlled by the Razer Synapse 3 software. This is the same software that controls the mice and keyboards from Razer. This makes it very easy to just sync up everything and have a nice RGB lightshow on your desk.
Unlike the keyboard you don’t have a lot of standard settings for the lights on the pad. You can cycle through the spectrum and there are a few other standard settings. However, you can make your own to go with your keyboard which is of course more versatile with its many more lights. The Chroma mice that Razer offers have about the same lighting as this mousepad.
Enough about the lights! There is a little brick attached to the mousepad. This is where the cable is connected. Another awesome feature about this is the little hooks which hold your mice cord. All the pro gamers use a weight or something to make sure that the cord of their mice isn’t in the way. Well with this mousepad there is no need for an extra mouse-cord-weight. Just put your cable into the two little hooks and you’ll be fine.
Now for the dimensions, the mousepad is about 25cm x 35cm. This is fairly large but for myself a bit small. I like to play FPS games with a low sensitivity for better accuracy, but this requires a large mousepad and this one is a bit too small for my playstyle, but it still does the trick. The mousepad advertises that it will light up to impulses from games and I believe very much that it can (just as their keyboards) yet, it didn’t do that for any of the games I’ve tried it on. Maybe this is something that will be added to more games in the future.
The mousepad is very accurate on low and high sensitivities and stays well in place on your desk. The lights are super responsive and smooth and without even having to set anything up, my desk lighted up in perfect sync with the mouse and keyboard. I will adjust myself to this mousepad because of its many great features!
