After seeing the Avengers: Infinity War movie, the events keep repeating in my head. It’s called the biggest cross-over event in history and although that might be a bit too much, it’s a great movie without any doubts. A new mission
Since this new DLC comes at a very small price, you don’t have to expect a lot from it storywise. There’s one new mission called ‘Running the Gauntlet’ where Thanos will team up with other new characters to face the Black Order and find his son. It’s not the most thrilling story and it even tells something different as the movie did but it’s fun to play nevertheless. The reason for this fun is Thanos, together with some other new characters, he’s playable for the first time. Since he’s extremely powerful, you’ll literally have a blast playing as him. Walls and enemies stand unmatched in front of him and thanks to his mysterious chair, he can even float through the air. It’s a fun new character that makes this new mission a lot better than it would have been without him.
New characters
Although the mission itself offers some fun, most fun are the new playable characters. As said before, Thanos is without a doubt the main selling point of the DLC, especially when you know that you can use them in the other environments of the base game too. Playing as him makes it a little easier to survive or to find hidden secrets due to his impossible strength. If you’re not a fan of this new villain, you can also take control over Corvus Glaive, Cull Obsidian, Proxima Midnight, Ebony Maw, Hulkbuster 2.0 and Young Groot. It’s a fun crew to play around with and I’m sure a lot of gamers will enjoy spending their time with the new heroes.
To answer the question of our introduction: Yes, I do think this DLC is worth the trouble since it comes at a very small price. If you can’t get enough of Avengers: Infinity War, this DLC is your perfect excuse to meet Thanos once more.
