It’s that time of the year again, one of Belgium’s biggest conventions kicked off today during the first sunny weekend of spring. F.A.C.T.S. has been around for years and provides everything a fan of popular pop-culture would ask for. Famous actors, tons of exclusive merchandise, cosplay competitions, gaming, and more. Today, we checked out what the growing gaming area has to offer, let’s find out!
Nintendo
The first booth we visited was the Nintendo booth where you could go crazy with a lot of amazing Nintendo Switch games. Did you miss the release of the new Kirby? No worries, you can play it here. Of course, the most successful games like Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart, and Splatoon were all playable here; Nintendo even hosted special tournaments for some of their games, giving you a chance to win a Nintendo Switch or one of the other great prizes. The two big stars of the booth are Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Hyrule Warriors: Definitive edition. Both games aren’t released just yet but are playable at the Nintendo booth, definitely worth a trip to Flanders Expo if you ask me! It’s always fun to see Nintendo returning to the F.A.C.T.S. convention since there’s always a lot of fun things to do and to win. If you’re interested in gaming or have some children with you during your visit, be sure to drop by, the Nintendo Switch line-up is getting stronger each and every day, F.A.C.T.S. is the perfect place to get your hands on some of the best new and upcoming games. Pokémon fan? You can also play the new Detective Pikachu on a New Nintendo 2DS XL, there’s something for everybody on the Nintendo booth!
Ubisoft
Another big player can be found on the F.A.C.T.S. floor (no need to enter a dark corridor, gaming is part of the main hall now). Ubisoft brought their impressive Far Cry 5 to the floor in the best possible setting. It simply looks like Ubisoft transferred their game to the main hall, everything about their booth screams hillbillies and Hope County, Montana. Empty beer bottles, road signs, camping gear, wood, trees and a stuffed Cheeseburger (it’s the bear) all transform this booth into the most impressive one on F.A.C.T.S. Even if you already own Far Cry 5, it’s definitely worth checking out the Ubisoft booth, you’ll be amazed by the amount of crazy details you can find there.
But wait, there’s more!
Ubisoft and Nintendo certainly are the two big players when it comes to gaming. It’s a bit of a shame that both PlayStation and Xbox aren’t there but to make up for that loss, you can go play more games on the GameMania or HP Omen booth. Want to play a Fortnite challenge? The GameMania booth is what you’re looking for. At the HP Omen booth, you can test out their impressive piece of hardware with popular games like Rocket League, PUBG or you can test out some VR fun! Both booths are a little smaller but don’t let this hold you back to discover those as well!

It’s clear that if you’re a fan of gaming and are looking for something fun to do this Sunday, the F.A.C.T.S. Convention is the place you need to be. With some of the best games currently on the market and even some upcoming titles on Nintendo Switch, this convention is getting better and better for fans of video games. See you there!
