Start off your quest by meeting up with your uncle Tim, who needs your help. He wants to see the world so he enlists your help to help run his boutique. While he leaves town, he basically gives you the keys to his shop and the story begins.
The main premise is easy, run the shop to help out your customers looking to get that special outfit for a special occasion! As you progress through the story, you will be styling the stars of tomorrow, helping out Ethan and his talent agency. You will style the rising stars of the music industry.
The main hub for the story is the town square, where you have access to most other places in town. I love the subtle choice of names in this game, like the NIN10 company… The town baker has some funny puns when talking, …
The entire game is obviously tailored towards younger girls mostly and it shows. This game is very cutesy and incredibly pretty. Every single screen was just plain beautiful and directed at a specific public.
I am a 40-year-old male, this is obviously not my first choice when picking a game, but I was impressed by the design and fluent storylines. I recall one specific moment, early on in the game, where a girl entered my shop. She was looking for a cute dress with flowers. The system thought me how to look for those specifically in an earlier segment, so I immediately had an offer at hand for my customer.
Now, this is all basic gameplay for games like this, the way it was presented, made me chuckle. So she is there looking for a dress, but she also explained why. She was going on an unexpected date! Because of this, she needed a new dress, all her clothes were in the washer… Hilarious!
All other gaming standards apply, as you help out customers, you level up. You get items along the way. Help out customers with special requests, …
In conclusion, this game has a very specific audience, aspiring fashionistas will love this game. I think this game would be great for the collection of most younger girl’s collections. It was cute, funny and witty. It plays quite well, your assistant in the shop is quite helpful and helps guide you through the story. I must say, I was not disappointed by what I played so far.
Will I keep playing? Sadly no, I am not the right audience for a game like this. I know this, you know it! If however, you are looking for a lighter game for your teen daughter, I can recommend this.
My rating stands at 70%.
