It’s finally there! The moment we’re looking forward to the most: E3 2017. In a couple of hours, EA will officially kick off the madness but we got time for one more predictions article, don’t we?

In just a couple of hours, the madness will start with the EA conference and others will follow quickly the coming days. We expect a lot of news, a lot of surprises, not enough sleep but a lot of fun. Time for the last predictions article before the madness.

5) Super Smash Bros. on Nintendo Switch

Nintendo is only holding its digital event on Tuesday, leaving us a little more time to speculate on what they’ll bring. Everybody knows they need to impress in order to keep their Switch momentum but competing against a strong Sony and a Microsoft desperate to make a comeback, won’t be that easy. So what does Nintendo need? Games, lots of them! I’m sure there will be surprises but I’m guessing the rumored Super Smash Bros. port for Nintendo Switch will certainly make its appearance. Imagine a Deluxe version containing all the DLC packs and content from both the 3DS and Wii U version? Might convince some more gamers to get a Switch.

4) The return of Final Fantasy VII

Final Fantasy VII is one of the most iconic games that ever appeared on the market. When PlayStation finally revealed a true remake was happening on PlayStation 4, fans all over the world just lost it. The only downside about the news is that we haven’t seen a lot of the game ever since. No new trailer, no release date, nothing. It’s time for Sony to bring back the legend and fully reveal the most-wanted remake of the moment. I’m sure E3 2017 is the perfect place to do it.

3) Microsoft is ready to bring the power

So what’s going on with Xbox lately? It seems like Microsoft lost its interest in their own console since the lack of great exclusives really is concerning. One of the reasons might be Project Scorpio, the new Xbox that won’t replace the Xbox One but will bring a lot of power to the console market. It’s said to be the most powerful console ever made but you can’t sell it without games. My guess is that Microsoft kept most of their games to create a massive line-up for the Scorpio launch. Expect them to be back at full power this E3!

2) Ubisoft once again surprises with big titles

For those who know me, I like Ubisoft. Yes, the company is known for some mistakes in the past but it’s one of the companies that dares to innovate. I’m guessing they’ll show us why they became such a big player on the market. With big games like Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, The Crew, the rumored Super Mario X Rabbids, the company already got one of the strongest line-ups. I can’t wait to see their new games in action and I’m even more hyped to learn the surprise at the end of the conference. Remember that we saw games like Watch Dogs and Ghost Recon at the end of the conference so I’m really hyped to see what will happen this year.

1) Death Stranding does make an appearance

I refuse to believe that Death Stranding won’t be part of the E3 show. It’s already confirmed but I still don’t believe it. Death Stranding deserves more explanation, another impressive trailer and a release window to get my more hyped. It’s one of the games I’m looking forward to the most at this moment so I simply want to see it during the show.

3) Pokemon on Nintendo Switch

After the events of the Pokemon Direct, I’m pretty sure we won’t get a complete Pokemon game on the Nintendo Switch. Sure, a lot of rumors are talking about Pokemon Stars, a true Pokemon game on Nintendo Switch, but I don’t really believe it. The Pokemon Company doesn’t see the Switch as a true portable console so as long as this doesn’t change, we’ll have to keep waiting. Although I don’t really believe it, it would be a major bomb during the digital event if Pokemon does come to Nintendo Switch. A man can dream, right?

2) Rockstar steals the show

Right from the start of E3, Rockstar has been absent from the show. Most of the time, they reveal their games during another presentation (often during the PlayStation conference) but how great would it be if they get their own time to shine? Imagine them showing off Red Dead Redemption 2 and a new Grand Theft Auto during their own moment to shine?

1) PlayStation 5 revealed

It’s too soon to reveal the PlayStation 5 at this time but now that Nintendo is picking up the market and Microsoft plans to take it back, it’s not that strange to see it happening. There are some rumors floating around on the internet that Sony will indeed show something about the PlayStation 5 but I’m still thinking it’s a bit too soon. That being said, if it happens, it steals the entire show for sure.
