So the past few weeks have been packed with content. Unfortunately, I could not cover everything because of exams. But now I am back to serve with all the hottest Overwatch news.
Got to say the past event was my favorite after the Uprising event. The skins were absolutely amazing and I love the dance emotes.
D.Va rumors
The last few days there has been a lot of buzz around Charlet Chung. Apparently, she had something big to reveal on Friday. Now it seems that over at Blizzard they know how to hype simple stuff. The big reveal was Charlet’s trip over at the Overwatch studios. It can be interesting but of course, everyone wants more Overwatch content.
Horizon update
This update has some very interesting aspects. First of all the Horizon Lunar Colony map is in the update. But there are some groundbreaking changes to two characters. McCree and Reaper. McCree now only needs 0.2 seconds to lock on instead of 0.8. in his High Noon. It does not seem much of a difference but oh boy wait until you get McCree’d. The health orbs Reaper had are gone as well. Now Reaper regenerates 20% health he inflicts on other players.
Also the internet nags about Roadhog’s nerf. His hook once again got weaker. Or at least his hook – gun combo.
Highlight update
Basically now there is a lot more support for highlights. Now you will be able to capture a moment you think is cool. So, for instance, a very cool thing happens but it did not get POTG or will not appear in your highlights. Now with one button, you can say you want this recorded and you will be able to download it later.
Horizon Lunar Colony tactics
Since I make tactics for all maps it would be good to tell them here. And in my opinion, you can pretty much have 1 set of characters who will almost always dominate this map. Horizon is a map for long range characters so characters like Hanzo or Widow are a must. This also means that healers like Mercy and Zenyatta are very good since they can pretty much also have you in their sight. For these healers it is very important that they can see you, Mercy should be able to fly to you and Zenyatta can give you an orb of harmony from a distance.
On defense, I would also suggest an Orisa /Bastion combo. Bastion can camp on the point while Orisa uses her barrier to protect. Orisa can pack quite a punch from a distance too.
The first point, in my opinion, is the easiest to hold. If they have a good healer it is very hard to get there because of every point of entry, in fact, is a chokepoint.
So anyways guys that’s the news for this week. Of course, we worked a lot on the Overwatch tactics chart. But I still need help from as many players I can get so don’t hesitate to contact me with suggestions. I also included a tips and tricks tab for new and even more experienced players.
