I wanted to wait until our weekly column dedicated to Overwatch but this couldn’t wait.
The twitter account of Overwatch just posted this tweet:
So let’s analyze this picture. First thing we know is that it is about King’s Row.
Later this week in our column I will talk about many things mentioned in this article more in depth. For instance that Overwatch changed the way King’s Row would look (at least in PTR for now). They didn’t mention anything but I doubt that they would make a fuss about something that small.
Maybe Blizzard is hinting at a new event not related to our calendar but maybe in the Overwatch universe. For instance in the Overwatch short Alive *spoilers* you can see that Tracer tried and failed to avoid the assassination of omnic monk Tekhartha Mondatta. *spoilers end*
In the description of “Alive” on YouTube we could read:
“Alive” weaves a tale of Widowmaker, the peerless Talon assassin who stalks her prey with deadly efficiency. In this episode, we spend a fateful night in London’s King’s Row—where you’ll discover how one death can change everything.”
But we have yet to see the impact one dead could have. Overwatch has not yet shown how this dead impacts the universe.
Also, you can see a picture of security images of the subway in King’s Row, a picture of which I think is a power central in Dorado. Maybe this has something to do with the destruction and vandalism in the King’s Row underground.
And last but not least a possible image of a new Tracer skin. The original image is a gif so you can look it up and there you can clearly see the power unit tracer has on her chest and on her back.
Jeff Kaplan doesn’t keep it a secret that 2017 will be a good year for heroes and skins, so maybe it is starting now?! I can’t wait until the 11th of April!
