The show has a Bakshi-esque art style and just nails the look it’s going for. Even if it sometimes looks janky.
So there is this series on Youtube and it’s only one episode right now and I really like it. It’s called A Fox in Space and it’s a Starfox fan-series.
It goes for an 80’s VHS style look and it hits that sweet spot between the VHS sound and visuals overpowering the show, and it being slightly noticeable.
The dialogue and voice-acting is solid. Fox has this light lispey voice but it work and never feels annoying. There are some cool references to lore/jokes within the Starfox series that work well and don’t overstay their welcome. It’s pretty solid. I also love the color palette.
