Virtual Reality is big, so big that everybody was surprised Microsoft didn’t revealed anything ‘virtual reality’ related in the past.
Today, the company revealed the Hololens and is taking virtual reality to a whole new level.
Where virtual reality is created to take you into a virtual world, the Hololens wants to do the opposite. It wants to bring the virtual world into your world, using holograms.
You need to wear the Hololens to see the holograms projected but the device doesn’t require any wired or wireless connection to a PC. Microsft sees the Hololens as the next step in computing.
Interesting for gamers is the fact that this device will work with Xbox One, to bring certain games into your living room. The demo they showed, showed a Minecraft level played in the center of your room.
