Iron galaxy Studio just showed us the first clean look at their new character Kan-Ra and not only does he look really cool but the back story and mechanics sound even cooler check it out.
YIKES what’s up with this guy, well gather round and I’ll tell you.
Kan-Ra is an 2534 year-old Babylonian Vizier who became fascinated with his king’s royal guard a living bronze statue and the eternal live it possesses which developed in an extreme obsession.
Some stuff happens and Kan-Ra puts a spell on the queen to assassinate the king but he lacks the skill to control the queen and she commits suicide (what a scrub right?)
But not before she informs the king of his betrayal so the king puts a curse on Kan so that his body slowly and painfully rots until there is nothing left of him.
Now Kan travels the world trying to get rid of the curse and all while collecting lucky charms and religious objects to slow the rot and soothe the pain(you can see some in the artwork).
That’s so metal.
He’s being described as a ranged curse grappler so that sounds crazy to.
A trailer is going to release 11/21 together with a live stream showcasing the character.
As for the character being available that’s for 11/24 for the Ultra owners and 11/30 for Combo owners.
I can’t really say how awesome I think his back story is but if you want a better description of the character check it out here.
and if you’re not interested in this character for some weird reason the trailer will probably have a Riptor tease so there’s that.
Here is a fun fact, did you know that Kan-Ra’s design is based on Dave Lang after he showered really it’s true look it up(not really tho)
Still the resemblance is uncanny.
