Square Enix told the community that they’re having serious DDoS attacks and that’s because the connection to the game isn’t stable.
The team is working very hard to secure the connection in order for a good playthrough of Final Fantasy 14.
We quote: “Due to this attack, our game servers, network equipment and network connection are being hit with heavy load at an extensive level, which is causing a disconnection from the game and login difficulties,”
This was also said:
“Our technical staff is taking every possible measure to address this issue but the attack is still continuing to take place by changing their methods at every moment. We will continue to monitor and work on recovery from every possible angle.”
Positive news though: No personal information has been leaked during this attack, it’s only the connection to the server that’s suffering!
