NEWS: ‘Zelda: A Link to the Past’ sequel announced for 3DS

It has been confirmed, The Legend Of Zelda: A Link to the Past gets a sequel on the Nintendo 3DS.

Link’s new adventure takes place in the same game world as the first The Legend Of Zelda: A Link to the Past, but features new dungeons and a new storyline.

Link also has some new powers. He will be able to transform into a flat drawing, wich switches the game’s camera perspective, and move onto walls, through windows and round corners in order to solve puzzles.

Nintendo Europe president Satoru Shibata:

“What we want to achieve with this new Zelda game is to reinvigorate the flat 2D world of A Link To The Past with the sense of height and volume using the three-dimensional display of Nintendo 3DS. With it, it’s easier to differentiate levels in the environment and we can truly utilise height differences in dungeons as a puzzle-solving mechanic. While this game is set in the game world of A Link To The Past it features entirely new dungeons and an original story arc.”
