Aliens: Colonial Marines was still in works to release on Nintendo’s Wii U but Sega decided it was time to cancel the project.
No official reason was given for this but it’s plausible that the review scores of Colonial Marines in combination with the games sold, could be the reason.
This is what Sega had to say:
“We are constantly looking at all areas of our business and in this case have made the decision to not continue development of the Wii U version. Rest assured that we have some fantastic developments for Wii U in the pipeline which we will announce at a later date.”
