Cyberpunk 2077 was and still is the mysterious new game of CD Projekt (the Witcher).
The first impressive teaser trailer shows us a very dark and unique setting featuring a deadly female cyborg and a new hero. Be sure to check out all the details inside!
The story of Cyberpunk 2077 is about how mankind tried to make te world a better place using body augmentations; but things didn’t really turned out the way mankind hoped they would.
The city called ‘Night City‘ turned into a total mayhem with poverty. You, the player, will take control over an individual raised in those streets. The life you’re living in the game is far from easy, daily you have to fight to survive against boostergangs and megacorporation.
The gangs are formed in result of drugs, poverty and exclusion, some people decided to go on a rampage.
A problem far more dangerous however is the braindance. A braindance is something that megacompanies of Night City built to give you an inexpensive way to live the life of someone far more interesting than you. A lot of people became addicted to the braindance and aren’t able to live their own life anymore.
There’s also a gradation in this type of ‘product’. Some of the braindances are simple, other really extreme and other illegally made in the underground. The problem with a braindance however is that you’ll not just see what the other person sees, you’ll also feel everything he/she feels.
So if you perform a braindance on a serial killer, you’ll always feel the urge to search for your next victim.
The braindance has become a real problem because some of the users are living their lives trough the other person’s eyes and mind. Sometimes, the police forces will have to interfere.
The game itself will be a sandbox type game, giving you plenty of guns, rifles, implants, gadgets and other equipment.
As far as the release date goes, the creators stated:
“You’re probably curious about the release date.” said CDP. “It’s currently scheduled a way off, in 2015, but in truth, the delivery date is more like, ‘when it’s done.’
“We will release Cyberpunk to you when we’re convinced it is nothing but pure, refined, unadulterated awesome. we want it to be the most kick ass futuristic RPG ever—ok, maybe this sounds pretty bully, but it is our actual goal. And you may wonder why we announced our game so early before the release.
“The reason is that we’re still building our dev team. So if you are a talented dude or dudette, willing to work in a really different company on a super ambitious project, send us your application.”
