Paper Mario was firs revealed during the official announcement of Nintendo 3DS.
Today we know the game is called Paper Mario: Sticker Star and will release this year on Nintendo’s portable. We got the trailer and a lot of information.
This new Paper Mario game will be very different than those that came before. The biggest innovation is of course the possibility to collect stickers. Those stickers play a very important role in gameplay. You’ll have to use them for everything in battle. Jump stickers, hammer stickers, Koopa shield stickers…. All can be used in combat, by pushing the action button at the right time, extra damage can be conflicted.
But there’s more, by pushing the Y-button you’ll be able to enter the ‘paperizing-mode’, in this mode you’ll see the world form a different view and you can interact with it by putting stickers on several locations. Those little puzzles give you more coins and stickers if you solve them right.
Once in a while you’ll also find special items like a big fan, those can be turned into stickers to interact with the environment as well.
