Ubisoft have announced there will be a multiplayer beta of Far Cry 3 on PlayStation 2 and Xbox 360. This Beta will run this summer. On the official Facebook page for the game you can sign up to be in with a shot of being a part of the closed Beta. The full game will release in September on PS3, 360 & PC.
