Last week we had a news of a possible 3DS Castlevania game.
Today we can reveal that Mercurysteam is indeed working on the exclusive Nintendo 3DS game, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate.
In this new Castlevania you’ll play as Trevor Belmont. His main weapon will be a new type of Combat Cross (original can be found in Lords of Shadows).
The focus of this new game will be the combat system and different types of attacks. With the X button you’ll be able to do some strong attacks while the Y button gives you wider-reaching attacks. But that’s not all, Trevor will also have secondary weapons such as a boomerang-like glaive and electric bomb, you can use those pushing the A button. With the R button you’ll be able to grab enemies while you can dodge their attacks with the L button.
Mirror of Fate is set in the Lords of Shadow universe, dark & light magic will make its return as well.
By earning experience points in combat you’ll be able to unlock certain combos such as: launching foes into the air, smashing enemies down to the ground and more .
The game is a mix between 3D & 2D graphics and is therefore named a 2.5D game as you can see on the first scans.
