NEWS: No new Xbox at E3

Microsoft has announced that they will not be talking about new Xbox hardware on this years edition of E3. By doing this, they follow competitor Sony, who earlier already announced not to present a new console during the conference.

Rumors have been going around for months about a new Xbox and that Microsoft would announce it on E3, which starts in the beginning of June in Los Angeles. Microsoft-spokesperson David Dennis has made an end to that rumor through an e-mail.

“On E3 this year, and even in the close future, we shall not be talking about new Xbox hardware. To us, the year 2012 is completely concentrated on the Xbox 360 and it is the best year ever for the console.”

According to Dennis, the Xbox 360 has been sold a lot more in the past half year than any other console and even better than every device usable on a TV, like DVD-players. In the beginning of this year, competitor Sony already announced not to be presenting a new Playstation at E3.
