Zelda 1, the game that all started it has known many remakes and ports.
But did you know the game was also remade in beautiful 16-bit graphics?
Back in the days kids in America could enjoy the Sega Channel, an add-on peripheral that hooked up your Sega to cable. In Japan however, kids could buy an add-on for their SNES, called the Satellaview. This peripheral hooked up the SNES to satellite TV.
Nintendo often broadcasted games on the Satellaview on a set time. System users had to be ready to play the game at that set time and would have to complete the game in one sitting.
Three different Zelda titles were released for this system, one of them being a 16-bit remake of Zelda 1 with graphics and sounds just like Mario All-Stars.
