The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has won the ‘Spike TV Best Game of the Year-award. The award was given during the VGA-event. Other than awards, there were also a few new trailers of games.
In its category, Skyrim has beaten The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Batman: Arkham City, Portal 2 and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. The winner of last year was Rockstars Red Dead Redemption.
Winner of the Best Game Studio is, not surprising, Bethesda Game Studios, developer of the Elder Scrolls series, the Fallout series, RAGE, Brink, … You can find a list of all the categories below.

I don’t like the categories for this. The amount of bugs in the console versions of Skyrim is terrible from what I have read about. So for them also to win studio of the year baffles me. I also do not get the fuss with Batman, I for one hated the first one and the story is meant to be bland in the second.
well I actually expected Skyrim to get the GOTY award. Yes it has many bugs from what im told and on the PC version i suffered some glitches here and there but the game in its whole is amazing, the story, characters and voice acting. im kinda shocked for best multiplayer PORTAL 2… What up! nice 😛 in my opinion i think best shooter is BF3 its more innovative and brought new things in the game then MW3, but thats just me ;P
