At the Jump Festa in Japan the new game Nobunaga Ambition X Pokémon for Nintendo DS (not 3DS) was announced and shown to the public.
The game will be the first ever crossover game of Pokémon with another franchise. Tecmo Koei, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company will work very hard to make this crossover work.
The Nobunaga Ambition games are very successful in Japan, so Tecmo Koei decided to work with Nintendo to create one world for two of the most popular franchises in Japan. The Nobunaga games are known as turn-based grand strategy role-playing simulation-gameplay. The games are set in during several important battles in the history of Japan and always try to tell the story like it had happened in history.
Of course with the introduction of Pokémon, the game will be set in a fictional world for the first time. In the trailer you’ll see the first images and gameplay fragments of the game working on the Nintendo DS. It seems like the Sengoku-period generals will be teaming up with several Pokémon. Although it might sound pretty weird, it actually looks good.
We don’t have any information concerning a release outside of Japan.
