It looks like PlayStation 3 fans will have their own kind of Super Smash Bros. for their console.
Super Smash Bros. is a famous Nintendo fighting franchise in which Nintendo characters battle each other. The PlayStation 3 game will do the same but with PlayStation characters.
If we may believe Paul Gale, Sony is working very hard on a fighting game just like Super Smash for PlayStation 3. Here’s what he had to say:
“This is real and this is awesome. The game plays on a 2D plane much like Smash Bros. does, with plenty of Sony branded characters making up the combatants. The stages are vibrant and varied, just like in Smash Bros., and the style of play is geared towards people that like that series.”
“Expect pretty colorful backgrounds (when appropriate), such as in Misty Island from Jak and Daxter and LittleBigPlanet. In the latter of the two, much like the game it stems from, there are all sorts of cool objects spawning all throughout your match, adding a lot of fan service to the level.”
He aslo mentioned a few playable characters: Kratos, Sly Cooper, Nathan Drake, Fat Princess, Parappa, Sweet Tooth and Rico from Killzone.
We don’t know if this rumor is true, only time will tell.
